In November I was fortunate enough to attend BlogFest. One of the lovely sponsors was Aveeno, and I got chatting to them about their lovely Aveeno Baby range. The range looked gorgeous so we were very excited when Aveeno asked us to review them.
The Aveeno Baby range is made up of an emollient wash, emollient cream and a barrier cream. To be honest, we haven’t used the barrier cream yet as fortunately Little M rarely suffers from nappy rash, but the emollient wash has been a staple in her bath time routine since it arrived.
The Aveeno Baby emollient wash has helped to keep Little M’s skin lovely and smooth, and it smells good too. The only downside is that it’s a little gloopy and doesn’t really dissolve in the water. Hubby reports that he can’t run the bath with Little M under one arm as it requires two hands to swish the water about to create some bubbles! He also said that the bubbles don’t last long, but to be honest that’s not my main concern for Little M’s bath at this stage.
I’m more concerned about her skin. A little bit of eczema appeared just below her elbow a couple of weeks ago, so the Aveeno Baby range arrived just in the nick of time. We’ve been using the emollient wash in Little M’s bath every night and have applied the emollient cream a few times, too. It seems to be helping.
Another bonus is that I’ve used the emollient cream myself as a hand cream. The colder weather, coupled with my possibly-slightly-obsessive hand washing since Little M has been born, has played havoc with my hands. They are dry, cracked and sore. My skin is super sensitive and most hand creams result in painful, red, stinging skin. Not so with Aveeno Baby. After just a couple of applications my skin has softened right up, and it’s so gentle and soothing. So never mind Little M’s skin, the Aveeno Baby emollient cream gets a thumbs up from mine, too!
I’ve got one set of the Aveeno Baby range to give away! If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning, simply enter via the Rafflecopter below.
