I’m really excited about Little M’s first Christmas. Lots of our friends have asked us what we’d like for her for Christmas, so I’ve been having a look round and found some lovely things online. I thought I’d share some of my favourite gift ideas just in case you’re looking for inspiration, too!
First up, I don’t normally go in for novelty gifts, but how adorable are these Snowman and Snowdog booties from Apples and Pips?! And they’ve got jingle bells in them too. Love!
On a more practical note, but still undeniably Christmas, is this super cute Cuddledeer towel from Cuddledry. Bath time is a favourite part of the day for LIttle M. She loves splashing around and knows that her bath signals time to get ready for bed. The hooded baby towels we have for Little M are getting too small for her now, but this is massive, and designed to last well into toddlerhood.
These cupcakes are amazingly fat free – because they’re actually socks! They’d make a lovely little gift for a baby under six months. I defy you to find a new parent who doesn’t need more baby socks. How do they manage to lose them so easily?!
We’ve asked the grandparents for some finger puppets as Little M loves nursery rhymes and enjoys the finger puppets at the various baby classes we go to. Hickory Dickory Dock is one of her faves so a mouse was essential, as is a robin because it’s Christmas!
…and something for mama…
While clicking around on Apples and Pips (a beautiful online shop which gives 10% of its profits to Mama Academy) I came across these lovely little charms. They have a miniaturised imprint of your baby’s hand, foot or fingerprint on one side, and a name or date engraved on the reverse. A lovely gesture for a mama’s first Christmas as a mummy!
