We are big fans of Cuddledry in the Pondering Parenthood household. It took us a little while to discover them, though. When M was a newborn, we used those little square towels with the hood at the corner. An absolute bargain from Aldi, but after a couple of washes they were a bit rough on her delicate little skin, and too small to really wrap her in once she was a couple of months old. It wasn’t until M’s first Christmas when she was around seven months old and I bought her a Cuddledeer, that we realised that Cuddledry towels are worth paying a bit more for. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to work with Cuddledry a couple of times (we love their beach poncho towel) and most recently they’ve sent us an Original Cuddledry Handsfree Towel for B.
Since M has been small, bath time has been Daddy’s domain. It’s lovely that he’s able to have that daily one-on-one time with her as her bath is part of her bedtime routine every night. And it’s lovely for me too to have 15 minutes listening to them laughing and splashing together. Since B has been born, I’ve got involved in bath time too when B has joined M in her bath once every few nights. Having the Cuddledry handsfree towel has made things so much easier for a bath time novice like myself. I just popper the towel around my neck, bathe B (with M’s help!), then scoop her up out of the bath and wrap her up in the towel.
It’s so nice not to have to worry about jugging a small baby and dropping the towel! The Cuddledry handsfree towel is such a simple yet clever idea. It’s one of those things where you wonder why no one had ever thought of it before, and wish you had. It’s super soft too, and has stayed that way after multiple washes (B is yet to poo in the bath, but loves to do so on her towel – she’s that comfortable in it). In fact, M’s towels are still in great condition and she’s almost two, so they definitely wash well over time.
M loves her Cuddledry towels and I only wish that we’d bought one for her sooner. It’s lovely that B has been able to enjoy them from her very first bath and I know that we’ll continue to use them for years to come.
Disclosure: I was sent the Original Cuddledry Handsfree Towel free of charge for the purposes of this post. However, all opinions are my own.
