Tommee Tippee Weaning Products Review and Giveaway

This whole weaning journey is a bumpy, winding road, isn’t it?! I feel like I’m up and down like a yoyo in my Instagram posts, as one day I seem to be sharing how well she’s chewing, then the next I’m posting about gagging-related vom incidents (No photos of the actual vom, don’t panic)!

I’m still working on getting Little M to feed herself, so when Tommee Tippe sent me a cracking selection of their weaning  training products, we got stuck in to trying them out. The first thing I noticed about all of the Tommee Tippee products, was that they can go through the dishwasher. Fab! Frankly we’ve had enough of washing up with all the sterilising…

Another thing that struck me was about the spoons. At first I thought they were really heavy but then I realised that they’re actually ergonomically designed, and weighted for ease of use. Obviously this didn’t stop Little M shoving the handle in her mouth, but I’m sure it will help her as she progresses with self-feeding.

The other good thing about Tommee Tippee feeding spoons is that there are five in a pack, so when one inevitably ends up on the floor, you can just reach for another! The only additional feature I’d like to see in these spoons is heat sensing. I’m still a bit too nervous and like the reassurance of seeing that the spoon hasn’t changed colour! Having said that, Tommee Tippee do make heat sensing colour-changing spoons too, if you need them.

All of the Tommee Tippee weaning products come in really lovely, vibrant colours. So you’re unlikely to lose them if you’re out and about. Speaking which, the bowls with lids are a brilliant idea, and there’s even a special clip to hold a spoon in place. This is the sort of reminder I need as we’ve been out before and I’ve neglected to remember a spoon. Whoops!

I think my favourite of all the products has to be the 360º sippy cup. It’s so clever! You can tip it upside down and it won’t spill, but Little M doesn’t need to suck, either, as water is released when her lips touch the disk in the centre of the lid. Impressive, right?! I wish I had the sort of intelligence that produced ideas like that! I can really see how Little M can progress from using that to a ‘proper’ cup. Thanks go to Tommee Tippee for making our weaning journey a little easier!
