When you know, you know. Don’t you?

Hmm, so that’s month one crossed out. We’re not going to be in the ‘it happened first time’ brigade.

Do women ‘know’ when they’re pregnant? Extensive Googling has resulted in lots of forums with women saying they think they’re pregnant because of this, that and the other. But most of these ‘feelings’ or ‘symptoms’ seem to be very similar to those you experience in the run up to your period anyway. Interestingly, not one of the discussions I’ve come across has ended with any of these woman confirming they’ve had a ‘bfp’ which I’ve no idea what it stands for but I’m guessing it refers to a positive pregnancy test*.

Over the past week I’ve thought I might be, then decided I’m being silly and I’m probably not, then gone back to thinking I could be and so on and so forth. I am going to drive myself bonkers if this takes a while. And OH has vigorously resisted me buying a pregnancy test as he has pointed out that if/when my period comes then I’ll know.

And he was right. It has come. I do know.

Well, that’s rubbish.

*Google reliably informs me that I’m right, it stands for big fat positive. Obviously. Duh.
